Never Never Never Ever Never Never Ever Never Ever Ever EVER Ever EVER Give Up Unless It Gets Too Hard
Billy Mullaney

In the durational performance Never Never Never Ever Never Never Ever Never Ever Ever EVER Ever EVER Give Up Unless It Gets Too Hard Billy Mullaney assembles a trailer in two days for a show that will never be made. The audience witnesses individual takes and scenes that are slowly being edited into a whole. Mullaney questions the way in which trailers and fragments slowly take the place of the work itself: if we only see quickly edited versions of a fragmented reality online, do we not lose sight of that reality? The performance focuses on the labor behind the product, the process of trying, failing, retrying, until a more or less satisfactory result rolls out.
