Dear reader, dear house-visitor,
We are theatre collective Schwalbe and warmly we invite you to join our physical workshop on day forty three (the 4th of November) in Veem house for Performance. Our performance Schwalbe is looking for crowds serves as an inspirational ground. In this work a large group of people of different ages and backgrounds is running in circles on stage, evoking associations of human crowds, vortex, and bird swarms.
You don’t need any theatre experience nor to be extremely good in shape, but you should be able to work physically for some hours. Bring your sneakers, most comfortable clothing, and an extra T-shirt (for possible sweat drops).
About the workshop:
Time: 11 am – 1 pm
Place: Veem House for Performance, Van Diemenstraat 408-410, Amsterdam. To take part we ask for a small contribution of €1,50. Please reserve your spot by buying a ticket, via the ticket link above.

Over Schwalbe
Na hun residentie in Veem Huis in 2015 voor hun performance ‘Schwalbe speelt een tijd’ (nominatie VSCD Mimeprijs 2016), verwelkomen we Schwalbe nu terug in Veem Huis op 2, 3 en 4 November.
Schwalbe is een theatercollectief bestaande uit zes spelers en makers. Ons werk is fysiek van aard. Iedere voorstelling vertrekt vanuit het lichaam. Het lijfelijke wordt op de spits gedreven en toont zich in extreme omstandigheden grillig en onvoorspelbaar. We vangen het live aspect en het onverwachte in een theatrale setting. Op de grens van theater en performance zoeken we naar echtheid.
